Your Talent.  Your Voice.  Your Move.

Together with a respected jury of photography educators, RIT's Photo School will honor students who are honing their craft and pushing the boundaries of their creative voice. Our vision: To discover, support and promote a new generation of image makers.

Enter Your Work:

Tag your TEN best Instagram posts with #ritphotoprize2016 between now and November 4th.

That’s it!

Jurors will follow the tagged submissions from October 1st through November 4th.

Winners will be announced November 11th during our Day of Photography Event, as well as on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.


Participants must be current students in 8-12th grade or enrolled in community college.


Five Jury Selection Winners

Each of the five jurors will select their favorite image from the hashtag stream.  Jury Selection winners will receive an online feature, and a gift bag with goods from the RIT Photo Store.

Grand Prize Winner

The jury will select the RIT Photo Prize Winner by agreeing on the best image from the five Jury Selection Winners. The Grand Prize winner will receive an iPad Mini and extended online feature in addition to the gift bag.


Members of the faculty jury will represent the various disciplines within The Photo School.
