This emphasis is for students who are interested in concentrating on one particular film-making craft such as cinematography, sound recording and editing, picture editing or special effects and compositing. Instead of producing their own films in their third and fourth years they are expected to fill these responsibilities in other student productions. Students in the Craft Concentration, spend the balance of their time in SoFA plumbing the depths of their chosen technique. RIT's skilled faculty are available to help them gain increased knowledge and understanding of the tools, techniques and equipment they will use to develop their expertise. Students in this concentration work on films in their specified area of concentration, thus gaining experience for how technicians work in the film industry. |
