Going Green Project Outline
I decided that for this first project I want to create a site that allows users to help the environment and their communities. Users will upload images of areas that are in need of restoration along with details about their plan of action in hope of gaining additional support. Users who are interested in participating in the projects will have the ability to leave comments and questions for the event planner. Afterwards the user can post images of the area after it has been restored.
The basic design of the site will start as a map of New York, possibly expanding in the future. Projects will be marked on the map with a clickable leaf icon from which they can access further details. The cities that have the highest level of participation (the most leaves) will be put on a top five list in order to encourage participation.
