Me? Seeing RX Bandits? No way!
Maps & Atlases opened followed by Portugal, The man. Both bands were awesome. The whole lineup was great that night, I really enjoyed it.

I’ve been a busy busy guy these past few weeks. Moved out of Rochester July 1st (instead of June 30th). I only got 2 hours of sleep the night before. I ended up calling the cops in the middle of the night because I heard glass breaking. I was extra paranoid since my car was half packed and having my car broken into would have sucked big time.
Hmmm yea. Moving this blog to my real domain soon. More importantly, I’m moving out!
Yep yep, I should be packing right now but whatever. The damn storage facility had weird saturday hours so Monday I have to get up early and bring some stuff there before I can pack. The good news is that means I can try the BBQ place around the corner that I kept forgetting about.
Things Ive been watching, listening, reading, inspired by:
http://www.thebadplus.com/ Saw these guys at the Rochester Jazz Festival. Amazing.
ahhh I almost forgot!

Oh and I saw Wall•E the other night. Brilliant. I need to see it another 10 times. The detail was amazing
I thought I lost this one forever, but while going through CDs I came across a bunch of old backups! Awesome!
I had taken a few clips from a London Parkour documentary, edited them together, and then rotoscoped the entire thing. The original wasnt the best, so I did what I could to add titles and changed the music to something more fitting.
Enjoy!
Heres the finished Daft Brush project and an old (I mean like 5 years ago old) Billy Corgan vector I did in high school. Unfortunately the finished copy didnt get saved, but thats probably for the better. The original finished copy kind of sucked.
More to come this afternoon!
been busy! meant to update a while ago.
Instead, you get a to do list!
ok goodnight
For the most part this class was “draw a line” or “make a gradient.” Pretty boring stuff for a 10 week class. Anyway, I wanted to do something cool for my final project. Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Daft Punk, so I figured doing an airbrushed thing of them would be sweet. I still need to add a background, but this is where I am with it currently:

Last year WXXI (a local PBS station) approached my teacher Jason Arena for rebranding their show Homework Hotline.
Basically the show is a way for kids K-12 to call up and get live homework advice. The show however had transitions and other imagery that they felt was really out dated. Over the course of 10 weeks I collaborated with Brendon Trombley to create the transitions, title sequences, and lower thirds.
Using an assortment of images we created an “environment” for the titles to live in. We wanted to make it feel like a students desk and be populated with things like candy or doodles. The producers really liked this idea and pushed us to take it further.
After many weeks of hard work we were able to complete the animations we needed. Since the beginning the team from WXXI had hinted they liked our designs, but we eventually found out that we were lucky enough to have been chosen as the final submission!
Here are a few of the segments you can now see on the show:
Going Green 9mb
Book Reviews 6.5mb
All of these and more can be seen on Homework Hotline which airs in NY (and some parts of PA and VT according to them) on PBS at 5pm.
I was sent this video of Matt flailing about in his chair a while ago. As a little refresher, I decided to make it appear he was being electrocuted. Did this in after effects cs3 and used some stock audio clips.
Bored. Here are some things I had rendered out but never uploaded before.
