Dynamic Persuasion Essay

September 26th, 2007 | Category: Dynamic Persuasion

There are different types of interactive marketing. The few that stick out are the websites that make you a part of the action. Pulling you in, making you interact to find facts or stumble across some information, meanwhile, having fun while doing so. For example, themancave.com is an Alltel phone company website. Although some of the movie clips can be ridiculous, it still pulls you in and makes you want to see more of the site for at least a few more moments. While you fiddle around with their site, they are leaving little pieces of information about their services and plans. Although they do not post everything about their company’s services, I believe that they hope they have held your attention long enough to make you check out what they have to offer.

Another type of interactive marketing is a lot simpler. It is just letting the user interact through all the company has to offer. It is not pulling you into a made up story, trying to lure you deeper into their site, instead just giving you what they have straight up, letting you control where you go and what you see. The negative thing about this style of interactive marketing is, although it may look good, it lacks the ability to keep your attention.

I see this being a strong marketing plan. I fore see many companies continuing to use this style of marketing, as well as newer companies doing he same. It is a very powerful way to reach out to the people and show them what you have/are capable of, without jamming facts and information down the users throats as soon as they enter a website.

Shark Punch II

September 09th, 2007 | Category: Upcoming projects

Seeing as how there are no classes dealing with any sort of animation this quarter, in my free time I am going to make a follow up animation to my Shark Punch station ID. Plan on making it a short animation, with more angles and a bit more of a storyline.

The hardest part, however, is going to be finding the time to make this since I have a lot of credits to handle which means more grades to maintain.

Project_001 Idea…

September 07th, 2007 | Category: Dynamic Persuasion, Upcoming projects

The idea I have at the moment is still a rough idea. Using rastor images, I was thinking of the user typing in fight commands, ie “punch”, and the character punches. It records up to a certain amount of fight commands. And you can put up your recorded fighter against someone elses.
