Call for papers

IGAEA members are encouraged to submit a 250 word abstract of a proposed presentation to the annual conference to be held at RIT this summer.  Priority will be given to those proposals that address the theme of the conference: The Future of  Education is Collaboration.  Collaboration can be demonstrated in the topic (research on collaborative workflows facilitated by new productivity tools), in the process (work you have done in collaboration with a colleague outside of or within your own discipline, with industry, or with a student), or in building collaboration among your students.

Apply using by using the interactive “submission form”.

Guidelines for submission:

  • Presenters must be members of IGAEA.
  • Proposals must be received by April 16, 2007.  The submission form asks for a 250 word abstract of the presentation and how it will exemplify the theme of the conference.
  • Plan for a 45-minute presentation that includes time for questions and answers.

The committee will notify you via email by April 30, 2007 if your proposal has been accepted.

Once your proposal is accepted, you will need to supply to the RIT IGAEA Conference Committee by June 1, 2007 with the following:

  • Electronic copy of your presentation slides and handouts.  This can be on CD or email
  • Two paper copies of your presentation slides and handouts.

By agreeing to be a presenter, you give permission for these handouts and presentation files to be posted publicly on the Conference’s web server.  Label all materials with the presentation title, presenter(s) name and contact information.

IGAEA does not provide honoraria or cover travel, registration fees, or conference expenses.
