Robert Chung is a professor in the School of Print Media, Rochester Institute of Technology. Bob teaches technical courses in printing process control and advanced color management. He has published over seventy technical papers and journal articles.
Bob was named the RIT Gravure Research Professor in 2004. He is an Expert of the IDEAlliance Print Properties Committee, ANSI/CGATS Committee, and ISO/TC130 Committee, the recipient of the 2007 Educator of the Year Award from the Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF), the 2007 Fedrick D. Kagy Life Achievement Award from the International Graphic Arts Education Association (IGAEA) , the 2006 Michael H. Bruno Award from the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA), and the 1991 Education Award of Excellence from (GATF). He is the creator of Test Targets publication and the technical director of the Printing Standards Audit (PSA) certification project at RIT. In 2010, Bob was elected as the convener of ISO/TC 130 WG 13 (ISO), the working group responsible for developing a new ISO standard defining requirements for a Printing Quality Management System in order to harmonize printing certification activities worldwide. |
