Hi, I'm Bethany and I am a designer.

Basically, this means that I sit at my computer and create computer art of awesomeness all day long. Nothing beats it!

Who Am I?

Designer, Programmer, Digital Painter, Photographer

So you know a little bit more about me, I am 22 year old third year at Rochester Institute of Technology with a major in New Media Design and Imaging and two minors in Art History and Japanese Language/Culture. I have a passion for technology and art which makes my major just spectacular for me to go into. I used to be a Asian Studies/Government major (yeah, I know, big change) but politics got too frustrating for me so I moved to another passion of mine. I still love Asia and try to use its influences as inspirations for my art. Another big inspiration for me is science fiction and space in general. The very concept of the universe is so mind blowing and beautiful that I wish to depict that in what I design.

What I generally work with:

Mostly I use Adobe products, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Dreamweaver, but on occasion I'll branch out into InDesign, After Effects and Flash.

Interesting and Fun Facts

I love to teach, and as as of right now I am an SI Leader for Art History. SI, or Supplement Instruction, is a program that RIT organizes for peer led review study sessions in historically difficult classes. I have so much fun helping my fellow peers and art historians that I might just become a professor one day.

I'm obsessed with Doctor Who - well okay not crazy obsessed, but I am definitely a strong Whovian. Doctor Who also influences me in my work and I absolutely love the quirky design of the show both in acting, the set and the digital animation.

Why Create this Site?

Truefully - a class assignment, but I'm taking it further. I wanted to create a profile page that I could link my portfolio and possibly a blog too. I want to be able to use this site to convey my work and design esthetic for others to view and analyze.
