Print Media (Minor)
Program Overview
The purpose of the Print Media Minor is to introduce undergraduate students outside of the School of Print Media to the world of publishing. You will be able to customize the minor to fit your interests or career goals by specializing in one of several areas, such as Advertising and Media Strategy, Contemporary Publishing, Digital Imaging and Premedia, or Print Production, or, you may take courses from multiple areas.
As a student in some other academic discipline, you will learn about designing and distributing content in the world of cross-media communications, including both electronic and printed media. For instance, as a business student, you may opt for learning about the role of advertising in the publishing industry; if you’re studying science, you may choose to gain insight into the materials and processes of print production. By choosing this minor, you will learn about different aspects of the media industry, ultimately giving yourself more diverse career opportunites after graduation.
