Applied Imaging Systems (Minor)
Program Overview
The Minor in Applied Imaging Systems offers you an immersive introduction to the business and technology of photographic imaging services. Pursuing this minor will enhance the scope of your undergraduate studies, and increase your career opportunities in the photography and imaging industry to include the options of business management, photo-lab operations, technical support, software development, and representing photo- and imaging-related manufacturers.
Some areas of study in this minor are digital imaging capture systems, professional practices, output technologies, color management, and imaging workflows. You can also receive priority placement for student employment in the School of Photographic Arts & Sciences’s professional Imaging Systems Lab, and have the unique opportunity to represent RIT and the School at the Photographic Manufacturers Association's (PMA) annual industry trade show.
