As a student in the graphic design program, you will learn and practice communicating ideas and information through printed, environmental, and digital presentation by integrating type and images to express messages that interest, inform, and persuade intended audiences. By using research, critical thinking, creativity and a range of problem-solving approaches, you will explore ways to clarify complex visual communication problems within the constraints of time, space, budget, and technology. Within this program you will be exposed to areas of study that include publication design, signage and environmental design, packaging design, information design, corporate branding, and interactive media. You will also have access to extraordinary resources like the RIT Graphic Design Archives, Cary Graphic Arts Collection and the Vignelli Center for Design Studies. As a graduate of this prominent program, you will possess the professional skills required to contribute to the graphic design industry.
