Program Overview
The collaborative efforts of Massimo and Lella Vignelli in the fields of product design, graphic and publication design, corporate identity programs, architectural graphics, and exhibition, interior, and furniture design have earned worldwide respect. RIT is proud to house an extensive collection, gallery, and archive of their work, available to students, faculty and staff, in the newly-built Vignelli Center for Design Studies.
The primary purpose of the Vignelli Center is education. The facility enhances many programs within the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences by providing the campus with the Vignelli’s extensive professional archive along with study classrooms, staff offices and a small retail shop for Vignelli books and products.
The Center is a unique resource – RIT is the only design school in the world to have such a vast collection held entirely on campus. For more information about the Vignelli Center for Design Studies, visit the center’s website at vignellicenter.cias.rit.edu
