Graduate Industrial Design (MFA)
Program Overview
The graduate program in Industrial Design offers an in-depth, project-oriented course of study to further develop and define your expertise in industrial design methods and technologies. Design history, issues, research, theory and methods are common topics in graduate courses. In additional studio courses, you will be involved in extensive design work with respect to environmental issues, the meaning of artifacts, and critical analysis. You will use 3D software for product modeling and animation. You also will conduct research and develop a thesis project that you will document in a written thesis report and present in a graduate thesis exhibition. Obtaining your MFA degree in Industrial Design at the RIT School of Design will give you the advanced skills and experience to greatly expand your knowledge base as an industrial designer.
