A lens-based storyteller at heart, I believe that the thoughtful consideration and use of the technologies available at any given time allow us to tell stories in greater depth and in a more nuanced manner. Once I know the story I want to tell, the two most important questions I ask are, who is the intended audience, and how can I best tell this story to them? Within the current, rapidly expanding technological landscape I have at my disposal an almost unlimited number of solutions to those two questions. I believe that along with creative vision, the abilities to work collaboratively and across media are swiftly becoming the most valuable skills photographers can develop, whether for their own use or for that of their clients. My interests and explorations within this area are at the core of both my scholarship and teaching practice.
Alongside my teaching practice in the Photography Program at RIT I am a student in the esteemed Media Studies Program at SUNY Buffalo
