Various items up for grabs at annual holiday auction
Various items donated by different businesses and groups will be up for grabs when Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences (SPAS) holds its annual holiday auction on Dec. 12.
The auction — run by RIT's Photo Arts Collective, a student association — is set to kick off at 5 p.m. in the Gannett Hall lobby. Registration for paddles will begin at 2 p.m. and continue through the start of the event.
Auctioned items range from photographic equipment to photo prints to gift cards, among other inimitable things. Payment will be accepted in cash or credit.
Proceeds benefit RIT's Photo Arts Collective and the Flower City Arts Center’s Studio 678 program. The latter is an after-school photography club for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders at the Joseph C. Wilson Foundation Academy in the City of Rochester. One of Studio 678’s chief objectives is to empower youth to express their vision and voice through photography and writing.
