Skilled comic book artist returning to campus
Accomplished comic book illustrator and College of Imaging Arts and Sciences at RIT alumnus Adam Kubert is set to lead a discussion on topics related to his career during a visit to RIT.
RIT’s School of Individualized Study (SOIS) is one of the lecture’s sponsors.
Kubert, a 1981 medical illustration graduate, has done work for DC Comics, and now Marvel Comics, drawing iconic characters such as Spider-Man, Wolverine and others. He also teaches at The Kubert School, a Dover, N.J.-based school specializing in comic book and narrative art.
Kubert is scheduled to speak at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in University Gallery, on the second floor of Booth Hall. SOIS visiting assistant professor Daniel Worden will moderate the conversation that is free and open to the public.
On Nov. 13, Kubert was interviewed by WXXI's Beth Adams about his career and upcoming RIT visit. Listen here.
