Faculty members from the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences’ six schools will have their artwork displayed in the 2017 faculty exhibition, set for Sept. 7-30 in Bevier and William Harris galleries. The opening reception is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Sept. 7.
The show introduces new creative work by faculty from all of the college’s schools: American Crafts, Art, Design, Film and Animation, Media Sciences, and Photographic Arts and Sciences. It represents the diversity of innovation and exploration achieved by an equally diverse faculty, whose talents and skills embody the breadth and depth of contemporary imaging arts and sciences today.
These illustrations by new media design visiting assistant professor Miguel Cardona will be featured in the faculty show.
The faculty participants featured in the two galleries distinguish CIAS’ curriculum as unrivaled by peer institutions. They also serve as demonstrative examples of the accomplishments of educators who contribute to visual media in the arts and sciences and their dynamic role in art and culture.
