Industrial design BFA thesis show
Seniors in the School of Design’s industrial design program are required to complete a senior capstone project. The 30-week endeavor spans two semesters and can be focused on a project of the student’s choosing.
The finished work will be on view Monday and Tuesday as part of the senior capstone exhibition, with an opening reception being held from 4-6 p.m. Monday in University Gallery.
ID students are required to collaborate with experts in their field who are external to RIT. Some students also chose to make their projects multidisciplinary efforts and team up with Kate Gleason College of Engineering students.
This year’s senior ID class of 54 students developed innovative product and systems improvements in the areas of consumer products, wearables, access technologies, automotive and exhibit design.
